Movement to Work
Youth Summit
The annual Youth Summit was delivered in collaboration with BT Group. Bringing together young people, employers and industry specialists for insightful discussions and the opportunity to listen first-hand to the views of young people who have recently sought or are currently seeking employment.
Challenge.
Provide a positive platform for young people to share their lived experiences in a way that is safe, respected and truly heard. To collate insights gathered directly from young people to influence Movement to Work’s forward-looking strategy and share with key stakeholders post-event.

Who.
Powwow worked with Movement to Work for a second year to help deliver their Annual Youth Summit. The Youth Summit is a unique chance for employers to hear first-hand the challenges young job seekers are currently facing and learn, peer-to-peer, how to find solutions, so that young people can continue to access great opportunities in the future.
What.
The one-day summit was a mix of presentations, panel sessions and roundtable discussions. Young people were at the forefront, with the day facilitated by Movement to Work programme graduates and the roundtables led by BT youth ambassadors. This gave a unique opportunity for young people to gain invaluable presenting and public speaking experience.
Employers came away from the event inspired and empowered with fresh insight around the lived experience of young job seekers and the young people in attendance felt they had been given a safe platform to share their views and feel heard.
How.
Powwow supported the Movement to Work team by liaising with their main event partner, BT Group, on all venue specific and AV requirements. We helped brief suppliers and key speakers and offered guidance and consultancy on other areas, such as event tech and logistics.
