Our Work / Private Client
Powwow have been working with this private client for over a decade, notably producing two spectacular parties to celebrate landmark birthdays.
Our client wanted to create moments that didn’t fit to any conventions and that were full of surprises.
For both parties, we applied the same amount of detailed brief taking and the highest production values. For the one party we transformed The Gallery at The Hospital Club, Covent Garden, using false walls to produce a chic intimate space for the guests’ arrival. Then, as more guests arrived the walls withdrew, and with an invigorating atmosphere change, revealed the room’s transformation into an upmarket private members club. Highlights on show included an ice sculpture, a Crustacea bar and a podium from which comedian Omid Djalili later performed. In our final transformation, the club’s basement became an intimate gig venue to showcase the evening’s surprise act, singer Sheryl Crow. Of course, the next party had to top the previous one and we created a full “Cotswold Chic” outside festival with a main arena stage. This was flanked by cool tipis created as temporary bars; kitchens, BBQ and grill stations; photo booths; coffee bicycles; popcorn and dessert shots and much needed chill out lounges. Entertainment included an acoustic band, aerial artists, spectacular fireworks display and for the main stage we secured the Stereophonics as our headline act.
It was the most fabulous event. I have been thinking about how to write exactly how grateful I am to you all for running such a great event – but I can’t, it was just perfect.Private Client
