Our Work / OVO Engery
Powwow was appointed by OVO, the UK’s largest independent energy supplier, committed to driving progress to net zero carbon living through harnessing clean, affordable energy for everyone. Across the group, OVO serves nearly 5 million customers in the UK and Europe with intelligent energy technology solutions to decarbonise homes.
OVO’s passionate about the wellbeing of their people and wanted to create a series of events which supported their team's wellness throughout winter. We worked closely with OVO’s People Team to design and develop an internal wellness initiative called ‘Wellbeing Wednesdays’. The initiative included a 60 minute activity every Wednesday over 4 weeks. The sessions were live streamed across OVO’s internal platforms and were recorded for people to watch on demand if they couldn’t make the live stream. Powwow sourced and managed the suppliers, designed the sessions and supporting materials, coordinated the logistics and liaised with OVO to ensure a smooth virtual delivery.
Working closely with OVO, we developed a variety of different activities aimed at maintaining and increasing their employees wellbeing. It was important that the activities were suitable for a diverse audience and were still engaging despite being virtual. The first three sessions focused on the mind and were curated to introduce employees to their wellbeing journey. This included practicing the art of meditation, self-care for busy people and making friends with your mind. All three sessions were designed to provide OVO’s people with tools and techniques to minimise stress and anxiety and maximise peace, self-kindness and contentment. We finished off the ‘Wellbeing Wednesdays’ series with a high intensity dance class, where everyone could have fun, let go and finish the year feeling energised.
“I just wanted to say thanks so much for the last 4 weeks, it's been great working with you [and] I'm sure we will work with each other again in the future!” ‘’Dance to the beat’ was such a great session and a great way to finish off wellbeing for this year.”
