Insights/ Coming soon (hopefully) - the most wonderful time of the year
Author: Louisa Cook
The festive season is on its way…and this year it may be hard to imagine what that is going to look like.
With updates and restrictions being announced by the Government every week, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to make any sort of future plans.
But this is a time like no other, and one where the importance of creating fun, laughter and togetherness is at the top of most management teams to do lists.
Within organisations, we know that many business leaders are scratching their Zoom weary heads about how they can support their teams and create a sense of togetherness.
The creative team at Powwow has been focusing on this challenge with clients over the last few months. We have created a full ‘sack’ of virtual and in person concepts which we have been adapting and personalizing to ensure they all have the unique Powwow touch.
From simple virtual experiences such as bonkers bingo, an evening at the races, a TikTok challenge, a big picture art challenge or online magic, that can really liven up a team drinks, to those with a festive focus like wreath making, glass bauble art, reindeer drawing or creating your own festive playlist - to inspire your team’s creativity. And of course, we can’t leave out our favourite festive pastime of eating and drinking. What about a cookery class with our celebrity chef, craft beer tasting, a fun gin experience or a wine and food pairing masterclass?
The desire to get together in person is still strong, so (where this is still permitted) we have also been working on team events which focus on activities in small groups. These include London scavenger hunts, outdoor winter food and craft markets with entertainment and a cinema takeover with a festive film, hot chocolate and fur blankets to snuggle into.
And when we can’t all get together at the same time, we have developed plans which allow business leaders to communicate with their teams, including a December ‘advent’ podcast, a wellness week and a daily radio digest.
By working with our clients on their employee and client engagement strategies, we feel we have developed a range of options which match their needs and ensure that this continues to be the most wonderful time of the year.
